We get this question alot. As we always say don't go by the name alone. Play some guitars and see how they sound and play
and you will find one you like. The ones you listed are a good start.

I took the liberty of posting all the pics for each guitar...I like the artcore however when I look at these pics an old sesame street song comes to mind...one of these things is not like the other...tell me...can you guess which one.

thats a great question, if you are wanting an electric guitar, i have founf the ibanez gio series to be awesome for under 300.00. it stays in tune and has the sound of the les paul. if you are willing to try an acoustic, i have seen and played on the guitar from the television infommercial Esteban.... it actually is a great bargain for the money and you get tons of informative tutorial media as well,...check it out!!!

The Esteban guitar is junk and you can learn more here. The guitar he plays is not the same as he's selling. Don't fall for it that's why he's begging on TV to sell guitars.

I went to the website for the Estiban guitar to ask questions. My questions were perhaps too technical...such as what wood was the guitar made of, and was it a solid top.

My email was never answered.

My suggestion is to stay away from Estiban...

If you are looking for acoustic, you might try an Ibanez Artwood (AW200 or 300). Also, look at the Blueridge BR60.

Just my opinions.... :giggly:

jeez, I didnt realize there were so many esteban haters in here.....I guess it must be fingernail envy or something... my suggestion to the member who was looking for an inexpensive guitar was exactly that , a suggestion and my opinion, for the money its not a bad deal, cmon, we all know you get what you pay for, we are not all idiots ..lol.. lighten up people, believe it or not there are others who have knowledge about guitars and know what its like to just start out, and this can be a great benefit to them, but if you havent tried it dont knock it....

The new Epiphone les pauls are of good quality. I have had really good luck with Epi. All I can say is play guitars until the guitar picks you. ( forget about brand)

The Agile 2800 is a great guitar, it was $309 and recently priced at $249 at Rondo Music. Les Paul copy that is best but under $300
