I was just wondering about people's gig experiences- good ones, bad ones,
and sheer ugly ones! Maybe your own gigs are memorable.
My first gig was Iron Maiden, tucked tightly at the front surrounded by
people hitting each other (I discovered afterwards that it was a mosh pit
). But it
was quality!
The best gig is probably a tie between that first Maiden Gig, ZZ-Top and
Bad Company.
I saw Steve Vai live a few years back, but I didnt really know any of his
stuff back then, so it wasnt memorable.
Worst gig, er, probably Deep Purple two years ago. They dont have that
sparkle, and Steve Morse is far better doing his own thing.
Ugly gig- well, when I first saw Santana a couple years back, we got all
excited, got there early and hurried down the front (And i mean right at
the front). Now noone had checked who was supporting...So, when we were
surrounded by young teenage girls we feared the worst! and we were right-
it was boy band Blue! So there is a group of us stuck in the front watching these
idiots looking like total dweebs. ____________________ Cough cough jazz cough cough |

Good gig...Robin Trower, up close and personal....I could have reached up
and smacked his strat....great venue, the Park West here in Chicago...
Bad gig....I was **** near trampled at the Rock Stock festival when Silver
Chair took the stage...everyone pushed forward,I slipped on a crushed
plastic cup, lost my hat, sunglasses and my beverage...lucky for me two
guys grabbed me my both my arms before I hit the ground....
Ugly gig...sat through Joan Jett while waiting for Days Of The New to take
the stage..... |
