Just wondering if anyone owns one of these 4 tracks...i might buy one however im wondering about the quality of the recorder...used to own a fostex years ago so i might get this one.

Im not sure where to buy it at...I would like to buy it from the guitar files site but worry about shipping, customs and duty.

Anyway any reviews would be great...thanks

It's a good starter 4-track... International shipping depends on how fast you want your order. Taxes from customs are the international buyers responsibility. We no not add taxes.

Spidy,
I looked on ebay for a while until I found the exact recorder I was looking for. (BR-1180 CD) I spent 325.00 with shipping. It was a steal. This Boss recorder is a nice machine.

Look for deals before you buy. You'll most likley find a great recorder at a third of the price used.

I have had my Boss for 3 years and never had a problem with it. I bought it used and would do it again if I want to expand to a larger machine.

That boss recorder looks like a decent machine...I was wondering are the cd's normal size or mini...I was also wondering when you have a song done with all the tracks done does the CD play like a normal CD in a normal CD player or do you have to somehow copy all the tracks on another CD so it plays like a normal CD.

With the tape 4 track once the tracks are done you can make a master tape by recording the 4 track tracks onto a normal cassette player.

Here is the machine you have...looks pretty decent.

Spidy,
The Cd's are standard size and yes they play like a normal CD. The recordings sound AMAZING! You have to learn the machine. This can take some time, but if you play every day like me, you can master this machine quickly. It has onboard guitar effects, a drum machine that you can tweak to your liking and you can record bass using your guitar.

If you have questions feel free to email me. I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have,

These are good recording devices for the basics or just around the house.

the Boss is much more than basic, you can get a lot done with this machine. Granted, it's not a pro studio, but it's a great device to cut a demo.
