So how does Chet Atkins rate on our scale from 1-5.

In my opinion he was one of the greatest guitarist ever and head of RCA records. He didn't get the name CGP Certified Guitar Player for nothing.

The guy could play two songs at the same time. One song on the 321 strings and another on the 654 strings. Country Jazz,Spanish,Blues and even Rock at times.

He's a great guitarist that did it all. I had a chance to meet him about 7 years ago in Tenn. He was a great down to earth guy too.

Never bought his music however every time I would see him on TV playing I would have to stop and listen. Two thumbs up.Ill give him a 4.5 out of 5.It would of been 5 out of 5 however I dont normally listen to that type of music.Excellent guitar player. If he was a good singer he would of really tore up the music world.

I wouldn't put Roy Clark and Chet Atkins in the same sentence.

Everyone knows my thoughts on OLD ROY :giggly:

Chet is such a bada$$! Not only does his style of playing make him a highly respected picker, the guitars he uses give him the cool factor! 5/5
