Hey I'm new here, and to guitar. I've got a Meiyin acoustic/electric with an EQ built-in. It's midnight blue trimmed in black. I love it. I have an electronic tuner. Very nice.

I have the Hal Leonard Book 1-3 edition with CDs and I'm definately working on it. I'm picking up the music, and just learning to get the finger placement and position just right.

I'm learning to pick without resting my fingers on the guitar body. I'm also learning to pluck it out with my finger tips and not just the pick. So I'm hoping to come to a comfortable place in all those things. I've also been penciling in the notes in the book above the staff symbols of the songs. That helps me learn quicker.

Anyway that's where I am. I am definately lovin' this. I'm glad to see all the other newbies here as well. And a big thanks to the real guitarists who are making this forum happen for the rest of us.
