i would like some general info on wah wahs,etc
what would be cool to start with?
how complicated are they to hook up, etc
there seems to be so many different kinds?
any advice or info would be appreciated

My favorite effect is the Wah Wah. I would suggest a Dunlop GCB-95. it's a great wah and won't break your wallet. There simple to hook up just like any other effects pedal, you have a input and a output. The Output goes to your amp and the input goes to your guitar. You can also daisy chain them together with other effects.

The main difference in other wah pedals is the caps,pots used. Some higher end Wah have true bypass meaning when you turn it off the signal bypasses the circuit board and goes straight to the input and output jacks. This is great as some pedals will drain your tone even when clicked off. I have a couple GCB95 that I have modded for true bypass you can even get kits to mod the overall tone if you like.
