I'm thinking about getting a Les Paul Studio, just wondering if anyone
knows what the differences are between a Studio model and a Standard or
Classic.
Thanks. |

Im not sure exactly what is the difference...Hardware would be
different...I owned a les paul studio for a while and had a few problems
with it...I had to replace the tuning pegs because they would not work
right...They were made of plastic...Dont buy a guitar with plastic tuning
pegs...Other than that the guitar was ok...Not great...

The hardware is about the same as the pickups unless you get a classic or
Custom I believe. Binding is the main difference
the standard and custom have Single-ply top and fingerboard binding to give
it a classier look. I believe the logo on the neck is done with pearl
inlays on the standard and custom also. The studio has the gold logo. The
custom model also has the added pearl inlay in the middle of the headstock.
This info is off the top of my head.
So basically your paying for a fancier looking guitar, maybe a better peice
of wood. Will it improve the sound Not That much.
Every Les Paul is different even the weight is different. I once weighed a
Les Paul Standard at 16 lbs whoooooo
