does anyone know what instrument Dave Gilmour plays at the begining of Pink Floyd's Breathe? i've tried to search for answers on google, but no joy.

so any help would be much appreciated.

I dont have the song in hand to actually listen to however Im guessing its a pedal steel guitar.

I could be wrong though

Yeah, it was a pedal steel that he bought at a junk shop where it had no petals. I think he either bought it in Seattle or Salem... It was west coast with an 'S'. Anyway, he got pedals put on it in England.

Hope that helps out.
