That's really hard to say.. EHV's Eruption comes to mind with rock guitar. Any of Wes Montgomerys blues/jazz solos are great.

Eagles Hotel California guitar solo is a classic and the list goes on.

FZ's Rat Tomago is up there for me, and also Black Napkins from the Apostrophe album. Django Rhineheart's Limehouse Blues has some amazing stuff, and David Gilmour's solo's on Time, Money and Dogs are fairly epic.

Sorry, folks... Stairway to Heaven. Listen to the phrasing... question/answer, question/answer... it's perfect.

Yeah, I'll 2nd that to Hotel California.

I've got to give 3rd place to (don't laugh now) Golden Country from REO Speedwagon's first Live album (when they were still a rock band). Gary Richrath was in a very special place when he played that one.

stairway to heaven comes pretty close but it sgot to be the live version of little wing by jimi hendrix, its nt at all difficult but the sheer power jimi gets out of a bend is unbelieveable!!!

I am going to be real unoriginal here, and say Sweet Child of Mine by guns and roses, but one my all time favorites is Carry on my Wayward Son by Kansas.
