Hey everybody, I'm new to this site. I just bought a Rocktron Taboo Twin amp from my friend and it made me realize how STRATY my American Fender sounds even with my Duncan Hot Strat. How can I make a strat sound as far away from a strat as possible without resorting to say......a Hot Rails. I'm very anal about guitar looks and I'd rather use pickups which look the part (which is why I went for the Hot Rails). Is this mostly a pickup issue? What brands would you people recommend? In other words, how can I get my strat to sound like I'm running hot humbuckers while still keeping the traditional single coil look but losing the strat quack?

Unfortunity a hot rail type pickup will never sound as ballsy as a regular humbucker, it's close but thinner. I would put in humbuckers for sure. Sorry, but been there done that.
