Ok Guys and girls so what's your favorite humbucker pickup. Do you like
them real hot,mild or plain.
I like the Tone Zone Dimarzio for a nice thick crunch
The 500T Gibson is also a great hot humbucker. I haven't heard the Seymour
Dimebag humbucker yet. I'm sure it screams.
Anyone |

I've really gone off humbuckers
I have a 64 Guild with Guild mini humbuckers which are quite nice and an
Epiphone SG which is ok since I re-wired it but doesn't get played much.
I much prefer single coils.
My Tele has a 52 style bridge pickup and a P90 in the neck, gives me
everything I need. Apart from strat type tones, but my strat fills those

I love single coils too but sometimes you just need more beef |

| It really depends on what I'm playin'. If I'm playin' some blues i want
both for the warmth of the tone and the little bit of over drive. If I'm
playin' metal i sure as heck want the hummbuckers. If I'm playin' jazz I
want the singles. It all depends on what you're doing. I won't say that one
is better than the other, they're just used for different things. ____________________ De profundus clamo ad te domine |

Yea Brian, keep 'em on the topic!
I found a hot set of rails that are good for a hot sound, but I done know
who made them, no info on the pickup at all... EMG 85's are good sometimes.
Duncan's Pearly Gates in the neck is a nice tone too.

I usually only get to play what's installed on my guitars, which means,
what they came with, but I got a chance to play someone's SG with Angus Young pickups, and I was very impressed with
the sound. Much fatter sound than what I'm used to with my guitars.
thanks,
