I'm a bass player, looking for a wide fretboard, wide nut, guitar.
something like a 2" nut. anybody make a solid body, strat,tele-style guitar
with extra
wide string spacing. I know about warmoth, but would like a guitar, I can
try. I've been told by luthiers, that most guitar pickups poles, will not
cover extra wide string spacing-some manufacture, must make something with
bar type magnets-like jazz style pickups. need to play the blues on guitar,
I can get my large fingers into-thanks |

Hot rails style pickups will work... It has on continuous rail instead of 6
separate poles.
I believe the widest you can go with a neck is 1-7/8" (47.62mm) maybe more.
1 3/4" can be used in standard neck pocket. 1 7/8" require a special body
neck pocket for proper string spacing.
Anything is possible I guess |

jeezus christ in a baby stroller. I've looked for over an hour to try to
help you, but it seems that what I'm looking for, even the manufaturer
doesn't list it.
If you're convinced that your fingers are waaay to big to play, consider
playing a 12 string converted to 6. Danelectro has one that's not too
wide, HERE's one on ebay. I was hoping to get
you the specs, but after an hour of searching, I've given up(sorry).
I'm sure with any wider spacing than 2", it's going to hinder your
ability to play complex chords. Many players often think their fingers are
too fat to play, when in reality it's just unfamiliarity w/proper finger
placement for chords and lack of practice.
A lot of the guitar greats had some huge sausages sticking out the end of
their hands. I would think you'd be better off sticking with a standard
width guitar and practicing a lot. Of course, I've not seen your fingers

thanks,
