Is it possibly to add a bigsby tail piece in a telecaster. If not any alteritives?

other than the cool points, why would you?

I've never done it personally, but I'm sure it could be done. Would you use the same bridge? If so, it would be an easy mod, but if you're using a new or modifying the old bridge, it would make it tougher, as you've got to be dead-nuts on the string length.

Hope this gives you a general idea of the finish product. Although it may seem that the bridge may need to be modified / replaced to allow the strings to pass through just as schwim said. Other than drilling some new holes and using a ruler accordingly, I don't see why it can't be done.
