Hi guys,
I've got a Gibson USA 2(actually my first guitar) that has always played
poorly(bad action bad to detune, etc..). It's got a "Licensed by Floyd
Rose" piece-o'-crap tremolo on it, that I can't stand. To add insult to
injury, I've searched for years for parts for it(fine tuners, saddle
screws), but every fastener on it is a weird size, and I never get the
right size.
Can I use the current location of the two locator posts to just drop a new
floyd rose tremolo onto? I know none of the fasteners are shared, but I
would hope that the two locator posts would be the same distance apart and
legth from the head nut. Am I wrong in assuming this?
It'd be more of a project than anything, but I'd like to clean it up and
make it nice, so any advice would sure be appreciated.
thanks,
json

I'm not sure, I don't see why it wouldn't fit.
You'll have to sneak around your local guitar shop with a ruler and measure
