I just pickup an Ibanez SZR720 with hard to turn tone knobs. Any thoughts before I pull them out?

Brand new I was thinking of taking it back to the store and letting thier tech look at it, but if was an easy fix I thought I could do it. It's actually the bridge volume knob and tone knob

If it's new, take it back.
The pots shopuld turn freely, they usually stop because they've seized through lack of use.
Could just be defective, but it's unlikely they would all be defective
