I have a Ibanez TR-50, basically a P-bass.
For a while now the lower pick-up was screwed in at an angle, and while
this didn't seem to affect the sound I decided to fix it. I took out the
pick-ups and examined them to see if it was the screws or something else.
I am not sure if this matters but the two pick-up faces attached to each
other, they are both still magnetized differently.
My real problem is that my bass won't produce a sound. I checked solder
joints they seem to be fine, one or two could use a retouching. My tone
pot produces a buzz when I turn the bass down on it. |

I found my problem.
After looking a little closer I saw one of the pick-ups didn't have a a
connection with the wires.
