Am having great fun discovering the techy side of my guitars. One strat and one Washburn elctric accoustic. The strat is set up not too bad but though the truss rod feels ok to move it doesnt seem to do anything. There is always relief in the neck. I dont think its a prob but I would like to remove some relief to see if it plays better. Also the Washburn. Its a Festival series and now that I know more about the techy side I dont think its a great guitar but the action has always been so high that its a pain to play. Now having the confidence I have tightened the truss rod to lessen relief but again, nothing really happens. Do necks get formed over the years and not respond to adjustment? How much difference would thinner guage strings make? This forum is great by the way.
