Hi all,
Ok I've come across another weird problem.
None of the pickguards that I wanted to order fit my Fender Strat.
It's a 1982 Reissue, Custom body, Rosewood USA Strat.
I know these Strats were made only for 3 years 1982-1985 and I am wondering
if that has something to do with it.
Usually about 6-7 holes out of 11 fit the rest don't.
I wanted to replace my standard pickguard with one with a humbucker hole at
the bridge position. But so far both Jap and USA models don't seem to fit.
I've checked if the holes have been altered ,but they are original holes
in the body of the guitar no alterations.
Any ideas where I could find one or order one without holes so that I can
drill them myself? Or any clues on this matter?
I am running out of options.
thanks!

weird fender pickguards with 11 holes should work unless you got a fake
homemade fender. |

nah it is original, it's just a strange V series
1982 saw the introduction of the U.S. Vintage Series instruments and
"V"-prefix serial numbers. They only ran this for 3 years ...
hm I guess I'll have to order a custom one ...
