I have installed about 20 sets of pickups and never had this problem!! I just installed a set of seymour's in my washburn and the bridge works fine along with its phase switch. But the neck p/u doesnt work at all and when i put the 3way for both p/u's i get no sound. these are 4 wire p/u's so upon messing with it i found that if i hook it up as normal minus the braided ground being hooked up, it seems to work but doesnt sound right!! Please help!!

I found the problem. it seems the bare ground wire was somehow grounding with the hot wire which was black so instead of using the green for ground and black for positive i just switched them. it works now and it doesnt change a thing as far as sound. i even called the factory and thats what they said to do anyways. This might help people with the same wiring problems. (Just when you think you have seen it all!!!)
