I recently purchased a hwy 1 telecaster. When I tune it with an electric tuner, it "gets in tune" but the G string primarily sounds too twangy to my ear. Tuner says its fine. I really notice this when it isn't plugged in. When playing leads I don't really notice it. When playing chords its pretty obvious. I think the B and e strings innotation is out of kilter, but the G is spot on. It was a floor model, so could it just be the strings? or could it be something more? Thank you.

The E, A, D strings sound solid. The G is twangy, the B a little twangy and the e sounds fine...thoughts?
