am not sure about it but i just got the the new cpx 900 from yamaha and i couldnt help noticing the guitar sound is not bright and loud as i hoped it would be its got a solid spruce top tho..
the guitar is chinese made and i notice it has a very lit broken piece of wood just next to its preamp unit inside the body almost unoticeable i wouldnt be sure if that had any effect and i havent changed the strings yet tho..
