3/16/2006 at 19:02I need to modify a Roland Cube 30 for a line out, so I can connect a
personal headphone monitor during gigs.
Using the headphone jack is no good because it mutes the speaker.
Tried taking signal from Volume control, but as there are two (clean, efx)
that's no good. I need to get back into the main amp a little further to a
common point for both clean and EFX.
If anyone has the schematics, I can do it.
Thanks to anyone that can help.

But thanks for the reply.

your headphones into the pa mixing board..
It's there... why not use it....
9/2/2007 at 13:54The easiest way to achieve this, by far, is to add a SPST (2-pin) switch,
in order to reconnect (or unmute) the speaker when the phones are plugged
into the jack.
Observe the two fingers on the jack which are spread apart when the plug
from the phones is inserted. Follow those two fingers to their respective
solder terminals, and connect the switch to those.
Easier yet, if you don't mind losing the ability to mute the speaker when
phones are plugged in, merely jumper those two terminals on the jack.
This assumes your jack is an open frame type. If it's a plastic "box" type
jack, you will need an ohmmeter to trace and identify the terminals.
