2/23/2004 at 00:25I've heard great things about those Marshalls, but don't rule out the new
range of Fender solid state amps, superb quality and value for money. I'd
match one against a marshall any day, purely for thier better clean channel
2/24/2004 at 06:05thanks for the replies
yeh i was looking at the fender 65 watt
but i still dont know
2/24/2004 at 06:16Hughes & Kettner is also a great choice if your into a superb clean sound
and a great distortion all in one amp.
3/17/2004 at 19:50I would recommend an amp that has a wonderful clean sound because you can
get your other effects through pedals. I think the top ones would be
marshall or a mesa boogie. I have a Fender and it wasn't bad but they get
old quick and you will want to get something better. They are a good amp
for starting out is all i am saying. If you play in a band i recommend
getting something bigger than a fender 65. But for just jammin it is okay.
The clean isn't the best on them either because if it is too loud they get
a bit distorted. Anyway there you go.
3/17/2004 at 23:45Fender get old quick?
Thats a very broad generalisation.
I've had my Fender for 6 years and I still love it.
I love it's crisp clean tone, and as you say, you can get your overdrive
from pedals.
And for all you marshall fans.
Marshall started out by buying a Fender Bassman and copying it.
Enough said
3/18/2004 at 03:01I would never get sick of hearing a Fender Deluxe reverb or a 60's
bassman,Twin the list goes on.........
It all depends on what style your playing........
3/23/2004 at 22:45I use onstage a Crate Vintage Club 50 head.My Marshall JCM 800 stays home
most of the time now.A used one can be had for around $250 American..Well
worth it.I never thought I'd play through a Crate amp,but I tell the
truth,this head rocks.
4/21/2004 at 01:33Get a Carvin Legacy or the Carvin MCS3200. Both are all tube--2
channel--50/100 watt switch--effects loop etc.In 25 yrs of usin EVERY
popular valve amps--this is the amp i CHOOSE to play--and its half the
price of the new Marshalls--i made the mistake of buyin a new DSL-100 and
it SUCKED. They have gone downhill!!
4/21/2004 at 04:22the question is whats the best effects processor out there for live
applications??? Is it ananlog or digital?? thats the question, now if it
was 5 years ago the answer would be easy but how about now??????
4/21/2004 at 14:52It all depends on what you want out of an effect processor
