4/30/2004 at 01:01hey, does anyone here have a rack setup?
i have a sans amp psa1, into a tc electronics m300, into a mesa boogie
20/20, just retubed with electro harmonix (el 84's in the power amp
section, 12ax7 in the pre amp section)
anyway, i can't seem to get good sounds out of the setup, they sound too
dry, and there's just no power for lead sounds
i'm not sure if it's the cabinets, because they are two old tusc 2 x 12's
(originally a 4 x 12, but cut in half...long story)
does anyone have any suggestions?

4/30/2004 at 02:21I used to have a huge rack setup back in the early 90's. I had a ADA,rack
effects with a couple poweramps.
I was fover tickering with it and got sick of all the setting and went back
to my old faithful marshall 800 series head with the 1960 slant cabinet.
A few questions:
What kind of music are you playing??
Did your setup sound better before the tube change??
Try your setup on a Speaker Cabinet with Celestion Vintage 30's........
I Suggest taking your poweramp, preamp and TC to a music store and bug the
hell out of them until you find a good sounding Cabinet.

Bad leads=a bad sound
