so i didnt know where else to go really about asking anyone about this, so yeah im hoping someone here can help me.

basically uh,my peavey 5150 head stopped working... you can normally hear when the tubes warm up they make a little light bulb like noise, and thats not happening, no volume or anything. The power and standy lights turn on, but its not doing anything... I havent shot anyone yet or anything but I would really like to figure this out soon like because I have noise to make and my backup isnt loud enough at all.

oh and the amps tubes are relatively new, i havent dropped it or anything, it just stopped working... i really dont get it, i dont even move it ever.

check your power tubes, just because there new doesn't mean their good. I've had this happen before. Also make sure their plugged in all the way in the tube sockets

well theyve been working perfectly fine though. and i know the guy who put them in so i know they arent crappy tubes or anything... but yeah i guess ill check that out tomorrow. could it possibly have anything to do with it being colder in my house recently? i dont think that could make them just stop working but i dont know, i just dont really get it.

Is there any other suggestions you have if the tubes are fine after i check them?

thanks for the reply.

If it's powering up but your not getting sound I would look into the tubes, speaker out jack, stand by switch. Tubes are funny beast you will get a bum one from time to time. It could also be a cold solder joint from sudden temperature change.
