Well after not picking up my guitar for several years now I got the urge in a big way to start playing. I even ordered a smaller Fender Blues Junior practice amp. I also have an all tube 40 watt Marshall.

Anyway if memory serves me correctly there is a way to get a tube amp to go into overdrive just by setting the two volume controls, right? Now which is it? Do you keep the Master Volume really low and crank up the channel volume? Or is it the other way around? I never could keep that straight.

Keep the master volume low and crank the channel volume. If you amp deosn't have a drive section you will have to proberly crank it half way to get some grit.
