I'm playing a ESP with 81 & 85 emg pickups and a Peavey valveking head on a Hartke cab with a boss metalzone pedal. The problem is I'm using a noise gate pedal and I'm still get buzzing and feedback. Is there anyway to get rid of this crap without buying new equipment. I love the tone and sound I have now. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Sounds like you have tons of gain and are playing to close to your amp.

You may also have a ground loop problem

yeah, i think most likely its too much gain. try taking the gate off and turning the gain down until you get to a point where it only feeds back if you are close to your amp. also make sure your amp is a little louder than you would have it if you were playing along with a drum kit, then play. if there isnt enough gain and its still feeding back and buzzing, it probably is a ground issue. probably the amp or even the electrical in your home.i wouldnt think it would be the guitar.

the reason i suggested you tweak with the amp loud is because alot of people dont know that the louder you turn up your amp, the more distortion your gonna get. therfore if you have the maximum distortion possible without feeding back when it is super loud, you wont have as much gain when its quiet. every amp ive ever played is like that, and ive played alot. youd be surprised at how little gain you need at high volumes.

most importantly, i hope you have your pedal through the clean setting on your amp. if not, THAT is definitely your problem.

i hope this helped.
