6/8/2005 at 02:56I'm a beginner (been playing on an off for about 6 months, self taught
mostly) but do all my playing on an acoustic.
I'd like to start playing and experimenting with an electric.
Since all I'm doing right now is noodling around I've been comparison
shopping some of the Electric Guitar Starter sets that come with an small
amp.
Are there any to avoid or some that are better than others?
6/9/2005 at 11:01I'd avoid really cheap stuff like Encore and go for a Squire or Yamaha
starter pack.
I think there are reviews of starter packs somewhere on the main site,
aswell as some for sale
6/9/2005 at 15:15Were about to launch our newest shopping system and we have added many
brands with starter packs.....Dean, B.C Rich, Italia,Dillion, J. B
Player,Hondo, and more.....
Dean has some real quality packages for the price.
6/16/2005 at 04:18it all depends on the kind of music your going to be playing and how much
your willing to spend. if you play a large variety of music use a yamaha
starter but do not use a squire, they are the worst guitar you could bye.
if you play heavy metal go for the b.c. rich starter. not many music stores
sell corts but if one near you does then buy that one. its a good guitar
for the money and it will give you a variety of sound so you can play
anything. i dont beileve that corts make packages but just bye like a 10 or
15 watt amp. thats basically all you need to know. dont be a dumb*** like
everyone else in the world and bye a squire. squires are the 1 guitar you
wanna stay away from.

6/21/2005 at 03:43Go for a yamaha starter pack. My friend bought one when she started and it
sounds great. I think it had one of the Yamaha Pacifica's, but this was a
while ago, so i could be wrong.
6/22/2005 at 13:36Starter packs or just that starter packs so most companies have about the
same quality.
