8/2/2004 at 22:01hey i want to know what my bass is worth. my uncle just gave me it for
helping him paint his house (that was fun
) anyways. hes not
exactly sure when it was made. early 70's anywhere from 70-75. he bought it
new and only used it about 4 years. im not sure of the model. its not a
thunderbird it kind of looks like an sg but the points are rounded. on the
back the finish is cracked. but other than that its good. the electronics
are in working condition and it sounds great. with an exception to the
cracks on the back its in almost perfect condition. i havent had any
problems with it. well i just got it yesterday so im glad i havent had any
problems, anyways im gonna put up a picture or two as soon as possible so
you can see for yourself.
8/2/2004 at 22:33Does it have a name? Sounds like maybe a danelectro or silvertone maybe a
epiphone. A name will help!
I would like to see it.
8/2/2004 at 23:23o sorry about that its an epiphone i forgot to put that. yeah a nam would
defiently help.
8/3/2004 at 03:34Look sort of like this?
Epiphones will rarely garner over a couple hundred bucks, but if you enjoy
playing it, price is a moot point. How it feels to you is more important.
My cheapest guitar happens to be the one I enjoy playing the most.
thanks,

8/3/2004 at 14:21nope not it. im just curious about the price and have no intentions of
selling it. if it was real expensive id keep it locked up but i think im
free to play it.
8/3/2004 at 14:28All Epiphones before 1969 are worth some money. They moved to Japan from
1969 on.
Epiphone has been around since 1873 way before Gibson.
8/3/2004 at 15:01Some of those old Epiphone jazz boxes are worth a mint.
What's the serial number on your bass
8/3/2004 at 23:53im not sure what the serial number is. anyways i think epiphones before
1957 would be worth the most (the year they got bought by CMI)
6/23/2005 at 17:07hey i dont know if anyone remebers this topic i started it way long ago,
anyways i found a pic of the bass online.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4713

visit it. it also answered my question as to the value, anyone know the
name though?
6/23/2005 at 23:47I think it's a Coronet, not sure what it's worth, but it's not a copy of a
Gibson model for a change, it's a proper Epiphone only design
