I have been playing the guitar for about a year now and i am trying to
teach someone else to play. Does anyone have any ideas on where to start
and where to go. Should I start with chords, tabs, ect. ect. If you could
give me any suggestions I would be thankful. Thanks

From there I would learn the bar chords and then major and minor scales.
It's always good to try to learn some of your favorite songs in the process
via tabsm or other means.
No one likes all work and no play!

Try and be very patient with your student, no matter how slow they are to
learn, losing your temper will only make matters worse, I did it with a
student of mine, but only because he's a moron, it took 2 months to teach
him a basic A chord because he kept forgetting it, I don't teach him
anymore.

pattern. Then open chords in D: A,A7 (you've already got D,G, and Em. Then
the key of A: You've already got A and D, so all you need is E and E7. Then
B7 for the key of E. I save the key of C til now because of the aggravating
F chord. For C you need the F,Dm,and G7. Then add another strumming
pattern. Anyhow, that's my suggestion.
