I have been playing for about a year and a half and its time to move up from my silvertone amp/guitar package (yeah its gonna be another guitar/amp question). I paly some blues and classic rock. What should I get. Dont really wanna spend anything over 350 - 475 on guiatr on a guitar. Dont really wanna spend anything over 300 on an amp maybe 350. Should I geat a tube? Should I buy used? What should I buy fist? If one of you pros could help me out, I would really appreciate it. Thanks alot.

You wont find a good tube amp for what you want to spend....maybe a used one...but I doubt it....look at Carvin, they sell tube amps at a decent price.... you can find a 100 watt combo for under a grand.....

Well boy, I think that if you gonna make your movement, you may try a semi-hollow body, its great for the blues, and also for all the rock stuff (of course is a giant step forward), and I suggest an amp with some amp&cab simulation so you can get any sound you want, even a good simulation of a tube amp!...

Okay, I think I am going to get the Behringer model suggested. But... I have to special order it and pay for it FULL up front before testin g it. Ive read many reviews on it and almost all of them were good and I am almost posotive i will like it. Does anybody have this amp? Does anybody have an opinion on modeling amps? Any other comments? I know someone is going to say "never buy an amp before test it out". Anyways thanks alot for the suggestion.

Oh yeah what about standard 349$ strats? SHould I save up for a highway one American?

ANy suggestions or comments on any of this would be GREAT. THanks alot.
