I know this topic belongs in the Album Rate/Reviews, but the "New Topic" link doesn't seem to show up.

Anyway, has anyone checked out Merry Axemas? When my guitar player magazine had the transcription for Steve Vai's arrangement of "Christmas time is here," I thought it would be a great cd to get. Anyway, I thought it would be hard to find, but it was on the first christmas music shelf I looked at. The price wasn't bad, either.

I thought the cd had good songs on it. I expected the artists would go crazy with the songs, but they seemed pretty conservative. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but I was expecting something else.

I think the only song I didn't like was Jeff Beck's arrangement of "Amazing Grace." I just don't like "Amazing Grace." I have no idea why.

Has anyone else heard this album?
