I have a tele and love it. But I have been intrigued by tha G&L ASAT. I like the headstock style of the tele more, but wonder if anyone has tried a direct comparison and has any opinions.....

I?ve tried both guitars. Personally I prefer the telecaster because you can make afinations better, like re-cableing it. I also prefer it because it is easier to play. Although the ASAT has a very nice sound I?d still go with the telecaster.
Good Luck!

If you put the two side by side the G&L is made better. Both Guitars came from the same two guys Leo fender and George Fullerton. Hence the name G&L. They say the G&Ls are made on the same templates as the original 50's ones did??? Don't know if this is 100% true. I have a G&L Legacy and love it. I also have a Early 80's Fender and love it too. You can spot quality a mile away.
