7/8/2004 at 15:11I'm trying to get my pull-offs and hammer-ons to sound cleaner (I'm
practicing on an acoustic) but as I remove my figure from the fret to move
to the next string, I get an additional, unwanted(albeit, weak) pull off
sound.
Any advice, tips or good practice drills to help with making string to
string transitions smoother (i.e quieter)?
THANKS!
7/8/2004 at 17:43Are you muting the strings correctly! Your proberly hitting the other
strings while your playing hammer-ons and pull-offs.
Hammer-ons and pull-offs rely on finger strength. I used to sit and watch
TV with my electric unplugged and practice this. In other words you just
need to get your fingers a little stronger and your muting skills need
improving. Playing on an acoustic makes things a little tougher.
Let us know how your making out.
