Thread: Can someone help with bass a bit?

just would like suggestions on good & affordable bass guitars..im new at this so like around $100-300 if theres any, thanks.
also too....if its at all possible, could someone break down the difference between 4, 5 string basses and electric/acoustic basses (sorry again im new)

We have a good choice of beginner basses you can check out.

The only difference between a 4,5,6 string bass is just more strings. Anything more than 4 strings give you more options when playing. For example a 5 string bass has a low B string so it gives you them super lows notes not available on a 4 unless you tune the 4th string down.

Acoustic basses are just that acoustic so you don't need an amp. Great for those acoustic gigs.

as a newb i suggesta 4 string bass. my first bass wasa ibanez i got used from my local guitar teacher and it was 300 for just the guitar. if you go to a music store somewhere you coudl probably find a decent used one for that price range
