Alright, I'm baffled. On both, my WRXT and my Slammer, the strings are starting to get rusted or something. I'm still using the stock strings on the Slammer, so that might explain it... cause it's not a FANTASTIC guitar, but now Angel, my Warrior, is getting it... just not as badly.

Do I need to be treating them, or have they just worn their welcome? Or is this not a big deal?

strings will rust...mine mostly rust on the bridge and eventually snap...to prolong the life of strings I use a piece of paper towel and wipe the strings off...you can see the dirt and grime that come off them.

I use GHS Fast Fret on my strings to clean them...

If your strings are rusting its probably from the sweat of your hands when you play. Replace them!

If they are that bad their time is done and you need new strings.

If you want to slow the rust, wash your hands before playing guitar.
The oils on your hands are pretty corrosive to strings.

String rust...that's how my parents knew I practiced
