Do you
remember what happen to Stevie Ray Vaughan
in 1990, that was such a sad thing it was so bad that, that happend to a
guitarist that died so young that was so good
every one that likes his music is rely good.

2/24/2006 at 17:47I remember when it happened..it was unfortunate...I was a SRV fan back then
however im not so much anymore.
He has some great tunes however I can only listen to a few at a time
because all the songs start to sound the same after a while.
I learned many of his songs and solos...he was really good at the
"lightning Blues" however I out grew his music...to many songs that sound
like Pride and Joy...(joke).
Having said that SRV had his own style however after learning his solos and
stuff he seemed to repeat himself very often with respect to riffs and his
own signature licks...this is good and bad to me...its good because it
sounds really excellent and fluid...whats bad is the music tends to all
sound the same.
I would of liked to of seen SRV play much more on other peoples ablums
outside of the Lightning Blues thing he did.
Dont get me wrong he was a great guitar player and nobody can argue that
its just that I can only listen to his tunes every once in a while and
after about 3 songs it kind of gets old for me.
He was a kick ass player for the type of music he played its just that his
tunes are an aquired taste.
Favorite songs from him is couldnt stand the weather and scuttle buttin.
