Duck - 9/22/2004 at 15:57Nancy Wilson, and of course, The one and only Mrs. Sidney
Pratten.....Guitarists get 100 Natalia points for being able to identify
her.....
willy - 9/23/2004 at 18:03Let's see, that would be the guy whose band played David Cassidy's "I Think
I Love You" at my primary school talent show, and woke up the stuff of
every pre-pubescent hottie in the auditorium...
HotSnakes - 10/22/2004 at 15:35Tony Iommi, Joan Jett (in attitude more than skill), Randy Rhodes, Jimmy
Paige and Rich Robinson (from the Black Crowes).
Nightrain - 10/23/2004 at 01:06Might sound corny but.............
James Taylor to me is awesome in his own aspects.
Kenny Wayne got me pumped up on wanting to play again also.
My recent trip to Seattle, seeing Lucky For Nothing play and have fun with
it got me excited also. www.luckyfornothing.com
Spidercents - 10/23/2004 at 04:01James taylor has some good tunes...Handy man is one I like.
ricoboc - 10/23/2004 at 05:14Wasnt a guitar player twas a band... THE BEATLES
followed by Sabbath and Trower.
I forgot to mention my uncles.....geeeez They're actually the one who
really got me going...
[Edited on 10/23/2004 by ricoboc]
Spidercents - 10/23/2004 at 12:10I should mention my father...He just strums and sings however he played in
a band or two when I was growing up...Hes great at a party...People love
that stuff.

wess - 10/24/2004 at 06:13I think it was more bands that got me started to at first. I'll probably
lose some cool points for this one but o'well.Kiss really got me wanting to
rock but then after i got playing awhile i realized they really werent that
good musicly just good entertainers.then guitar players like RANDY
ROADS,EVH,DAVID GILMORE,VIVIAN CAMBELL ect....really started to inspire me.
:giggly:
Spidercents - 10/24/2004 at 15:01Early kiss had excellent songs...Great songwriters...Songs are easy to play
however they are fun as hell to learn and play.I like all the bands you
mentioned except cambell...peace
wess - 10/30/2004 at 17:04Kiss does have talent, like you said more on the song writing side and i
think really as entertianers.I guess when i started getting serious about
guitar i leaned more toward the tech. players.
I think i really like well rounded bands the best.
norskyboy17 - 10/31/2004 at 00:53Well, just the idea of rock got me into guitar but, as i got better i
started to listen to better music. For me its more about the guitarist that
fuel me to keep going like: Kirk Hammet, Zack Wylde, Stevie Vay, Jade
Punget, Stevie Harris. Also bands that fuel me: Iron Maiden, Metallica,
Avenged Sevenfold, Ateryu, AFI, Megadeath, The Stone Temple Pilots, Alice
In Chains, Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave.
Theres many others.
Spidercents - 10/31/2004 at 10:33I remember learning all kinds of madien when I was teen...Number of the
beast and run to the hills are my favorite...I wasnt a die hard fan however
I have almost all there records on LP...not CD...I like madien however alot
of their songs sound similar...I like the art work on the album covers.
girlwithaguitar - 10/31/2004 at 16:28for me it was jimmy page.
Spidercents - 10/31/2004 at 19:53Always a good choice.
pontiac - 11/2/2004 at 00:10I was inspired by two of my close friends who have been playing for a
while. I went to their house a few times and heard them play and I said to
myself, "I wanna do this!" Peace out!
Spidercents - 11/2/2004 at 12:30Been there...done that...I seen people play and said the same thing...I
have to be able to play like that.
andy_johnston - 11/2/2004 at 13:35I went to a Boys State weekend event, and I saw two guys playing guitars
and singing a song they wrote during one of the events. I made my decision
to get a guitar to learn on.
