Hi, i have an ibanez sz series guitar. Today i got my new pickups fitted; an sh-4 in the bridge and '59 pickup in the neck.

The 59 sounds fine to me, but the SH-4 is meant to be a high output pickup, capable of being used for metal and hard rock but it sounds flat.

With full gain up all the way on my marshall mg100hdfx i get a slightly overdriven sound which sounds nice for open chords but no good for anything heavier.

The pickups were fitted by a well known technician so i dunno what the problem is. The sh-4 kinda sounds like its only using a single coil. ive tried using a zoom metal pedal and a boss ds-1 and it still sounds flat, no attack and bite to it. Someone suggested it may be my pots going, or could this be a wiring fault.

I have pictures of the wiring if you need them

Thankss
neil
