I have a 2004 Epiphone Les Paul Standard that I'm trying to put an older EMG 81(not a quick connect) into. There are only two wires coming out of the pickup. A red and a white. The battery connect is seperate. I'm using the stock neck pickup(since EMG's website said it was possible) and I'm a bit confused as to why I'm barely getting signal, even with a new battery. Something has got to be wired wrong. Does anyone have a diagram for the old EMG's? Please help!!!

Ummm did you make sure the battery is good for starters? Did you hook up the battery correctly? Do you have all your grounds soldered. Do you have any cold solder joints?
