Hey guys, one of the fine tuning pegs on my Kahler bridge is broken, the head is snapped off and I need an idea on how to get the rest of the broken peg out of there.

i was thinking maybe you might be able to solder the peg head back on to the other part and then try and unscrew it out...cant really think of another way without drilling it or something.

Here is the deal. basically, the fine adjuster screw is hardend steel as most bolts are. what you must do is unstring the guitar first.
1. Remove the tremelo from the guitar
2. Place it gently in a jig (small vice for holding something level and static.
3. use an appropriate sized hardened bit on a drill press (smaller then the width of the screws OD
4. very slowly and carefully drill out the broken screw
IMPORTANT: BE CAREFUL!!! DO NOT BREAK THE BIT
5. run a tap through to clean the debris out and clean the threads. use tapping oil!
6. Insert new adjusting screw

If you do not know what you are doing, bring it to a shop or a machinist
